X-Office user manual

How to sign in, open the programs, save documents and use every button of office.x-world.plus.

What X-Office is

X-Office is the free X-WORLD office suite that runs right in your browser. It has four programs: X-Word (documents), X-Table (spreadsheets), X-Slides (presentations) and X-PDF (PDF). Nothing to install and no limit on the number of documents.

Signing in with X-WORLD

The programs open only after you sign in. Click “Sign in” in the top right corner or “Sign in with X-WORLD” on the page — the single sign-in login.x-world.plus opens. You can register there if you don’t have an account yet.

You sign in once for the whole portal, not for each program. You stay signed in for 30 days. If you are already signed in on another X-WORLD site, signing in happens by itself, without a password.

Until you sign in, the program tiles say “Sign in to open”. Clicking such a tile takes you to sign-in and then opens the chosen program right away.

The four programs

  • X-Word — word processor: documents, letters, contracts, reports. Formats DOCX, ODT, RTF, TXT, PDF.
  • X-Table — spreadsheets: formulas, charts, calculations. Formats XLSX, XLSM, XLSB, ODS, CSV. The detailed manual for every X-Table button is here.
  • X-Slides — presentations: slides, design, full-screen shows. PPTX format, export to PDF.
  • X-PDF — PDF: editing, signing, comments, merging, compressing and protecting files.

Click “Open” on a tile — the program opens in the same tab. To return to the portal, use the browser’s Back button or go to office.x-world.plus.

Opening and saving a document

Inside a program, open the File menu: it has a new document, opening a file from your computer, Save and Save As.

Documents are saved to your computer in familiar Microsoft Office formats — Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any other program can open them. In Chrome and Edge you can choose the folder; in other browsers the file goes to Downloads.

The first launch of a program takes a little longer: the browser downloads it once (a few dozen megabytes). Later launches are faster.

Documents in X-Disk

Every user has 1 GB in the X-Disk cloud storage (x-disk.plus). Keep your documents there and they are available from any computer. Documents from X-Disk open in the same X-Office programs — no second sign-in, it is shared.

To go to X-Disk: the “Open X-Disk” button on the page or “My documents in X-Disk” in the account menu.

Account menu

After you sign in, an account button appears in the top right corner: photo on the left, name on the right. The menu opens and closes with a click (clicking outside it closes it too). The menu has:

  • your photo, name and e-mail;
  • four program tiles — X-Word, X-Table, X-Slides, X-PDF — to jump straight to one;
  • “My documents in X-Disk” — the storage;
  • “X-WORLD account” — profile, password and connected services on login.x-world.plus;
  • “User manual” — this page;
  • “Sign out” — signs you out of the portal.

Language and theme

The button with the language code (for example, EN) in the header opens the list of nine X-WORLD languages. Your choice is remembered. On the first visit the language comes from your system and browser settings.

The round button next to it switches between the light and dark theme. By default the theme follows your system.

If a program does not open

  • Update your browser to the latest version (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera).
  • Reload the page with F5.
  • If you are asked to sign in again, sign in: your session may have expired.
  • On very old computers without WebGPU/WebGL support the programs may not start.
